Creating Interest with Colour
Try using a single accent colour to add interest to your dcor. It can be as easy as selecting a colour from an existing piece of art in the room or an area rug, and repeating the colour in several places around the room.
You can use candles, flowers, a bowl of fruit and sofa cushions, for example. The repetition of the same colour creates movement in the space by drawing your eye around the room.
In addition, repeating this colour in an adjacent room or hallway is especially effective in visually expanding the space ? an important consideration if your room is small.
