Pumpkins, Wheelbarrows, and Candlelight
To transition to fall, tuck small pumpkins into a still blooming window box. If your window box is empty, just line up the pumpkins. You may have to put something in the bottom of box so pumpkins are raised for good viewing.
Use a wheelbarrow, wagon, old wash tub or whatever you have to create a fall display for your front porch or yard. Start with a big, hardy mum plant, tuck in corn stalks, pumpkins, gourds, and enjoy.
Bring in small pumpkins and gourds for a dining table or entry table display. If dining, arrange candles at different levels. Use books— maybe old ones with fall colored bindings— to create various levels. Arrange small pumpkins and gourds around the candle light. If you prefer not to see the books, cover with pretty cloth.
