In The Pink

July 24, 2009

For me, pale pink is the new black.

Recently, I’ve noticed that I’ve been recommending the palest shade of pink  – almost white – to lots of clients. I’ve been pairing pale pink with chocolate brown, pale pink with orange, pale pink with navy, pale pink with buttery yellow, pale pink with lime; even pale pink with chartreuse!Pink and brown lampshades

I still love and recommend lots of neutral colors, too. And, come to think of it, icy pink works beautifully with taupe, cream, mocha, khaki, black, charcoal and, of course, white.

And, since it’s summertime, no matter where you are located, you might want to try a few pale pink accents in your home, too.pale pink peonies

Have you been thinking pink?

I have been enjoying pink since I turned 40. My favorite is pink glass dishes – I have a set of depression glass dishes. They make it nice to add some color if wanted to the table. And of course pink flowers are always an easy addition of the color.
