Relaxing, Exploring And Junking In The Hamptons

Every year my BFF, Rita, and I go away together for a few days. We usually head to a yoga retreat but this year we decided instead to simply spend some time relaxing, exploring and junking in the Hamptons, a string of pretty beach towns along the eastern end of Long Island, New York.

Unlike other trips with our husbands, our “girls’ getaway” always involves braking for tag sales and antique stores along the way. Every tag sale and every antique store. We, of course, also manage to make time for home design shops (Rita was the first person I trained in the Use What You Have Decorating system when I became pregnant, a year after I opened my business).

Knowing our husbands usually last about five minutes into this routine, we’re all happier they are at home. ‘Love you, honey!
