Storing Pots And Lids: Time To Pot-Tay!

January 31, 2012

My dear pal, David Staskowski, shared this smart ‘use what you have’ pot rack idea. You remember David, don’t you? He was the clever ‘Ask David’ columnist from the late, great magazine, Metropolitan Home.

Plus, here’s a suggestion for storing your pot lids from my book, Downsizing Your Home With Style:

Hang your lids over the pot handles to keep them together and save space.

Hi.
I would like to contact David Staskowski via email. Please can you forward my email to him. I think he is the person who used to be my pen pal when we were young.
Thank you Janet.

Hi, I adored the “ask david” columns. Weren’t they published as a book collection? I’m searching for this, but can’t find it. Do you happen to know the title? Thanks!

Hi Cindy,
I loved David’s columns in Metropolitan Home, too, but I don’t know if a collection was published. I’ll check with him and get back to you!

Hi Cindy,

I checked with David and, surprisingly, his ‘Ask David’ column in Metropolitan Home was never published as a book. Like you, I was a big fan and wish someone would have run with the idea – his tips were always spot on. Perhaps he’ll consider self-publishing them in the future…
Thanks for starting a dialogue!

That looks like the All-Clad pot hanging rack. Does anyone know where I can get the hooks? All-Clad is unwilling to share that information with me. I have contacted corporate and their answer was that they would not let me have any more hooks.

Sorry, Pablo. If a google search and All-Clad hasn’t been helpful, we do not know where you can get the hooks except for checking with various restaurant supply stores. Good luck!
