Have you been thinking that time seems to be speeding by extremely quickly? Are you wondering where June went? Me, too. It has been a very busy year at Use What You Have Interiors and so, in the past week, I’ve been making a big effort to catch up on old email I’d flagged but have not made time to read.

One of the interesting things I came across was this Succulent Pallet Table that was posted on http://www.faroutflora.com/2011/06/04/diy-succulent-pallet-table last year (well, at least I flagged it!).DIY succulent table

What a fabulous idea and a terrific DIY project for those of you who are so inclined to making things. Aside from the cool table design, succulents are wonderful because they require so little care and, when grouped together, they have a very cool, sort of mid-century, look to them.

Even if you don’t undertake the whole table design project, consider getting a long window box type tin planter or a stylish round matte white bowl and filling it with an assortment of succulents.

Indoors or out, an arrangement of succulents look beautiful

It will make a gorgeous centerpiece for your dining room or coffee table and you’ll only have to water the plants once a week during warm weather months and once a month during cold weather months.
Hopefully, that will leave plenty of time for hanging out around the table and answering email.
